Lisa Munkvold

Owner and Professional Organizer

Contrary to popular belief, not all organizers are born organized, and I was born messy! I grew up with parents who took pride in their home and their belongings, and our house was orderly and well-functioning. The only exception was my room.

Despite my cluttered room, my school work was always impeccable, and whenever I was at friends' houses, I loved sorting and straightening up their rooms, so the organizing gene was definitely there.

I have a Business degree from the University of St. Thomas, and I also attended a culinary school in Essex, Vermont. My work experience includes several aspects of the hospitality industry, as well as the corporate world, but I have been a stay at home mom for several years while doing home/small business organization on the side.

It was not until I decided to become a stay-at-home mom and soon found myself running a household of 5 that I truly realized the importance of organization and keeping up with it all. Over the years, I have implemented systems in our house that work for us, freeing up our time and making room for more than just cleaning up clutter.

Fast forward to 2015, when a friend hired me to get her whole house into shape. She said she had noticed my knack for creating order, and she needed someone with my no-nonsense approach to help her do just that. Since then, word of mouth and referrals have kept me busy, and I love what I do, and more so, I love seeing the positive impact it has on my clients’ lives. I believe I have finally found my path!

Even though my path has not been a linear one, I firmly believe that my marketing degree and every job I have held along the way have given me beneficial knowledge and experience. Be it folding sheets and towels in a hotel, doing food prep in a busy commercial kitchen, or setting up files, and managing schedules in a large office. All of these things deal with being organized and creating systems that work.

I genuinely believe that my personal experience is an invaluable asset in this field. I know first-hand that it is possible to come out from under a messy pile and have a beautiful, functional, and organized space. I want to share my techniques, my tips, and my experience with those who need it.

Most of all, I want to enable people to take control of their clutter, so it does not take control of them and their lives!
